52 is an experimental movie shot in july 2006 in Paris.
Running time = 70 minutes
That's science-fiction and it features several colors on the video.
Including red, green and blue.
The main character's named 52.
In a world not very far away from armageddon (not the 1998 Armageddon movie, more 'the final climactic battle between mankind and its crazy weapons of Death' kind of armageddon), a company (the NARMNEX corporation) works closely with the governement to categorized and choose people who deserve to be saved from the mayhem to come.
They invented an electronic device that allows them to retrieve the 'true nature' of people.
They plugg the device on a guy and let the device generate his host very personal portrait (a 'video biography').
And 52 by being a guy obsessed with art and music (VERY unusual and original) makes the experiment go wrong by challenging the naughty device in charge of retrieving his personal thoughts and longings for freedom.
The retrieval process lasts 5 days.
The machine (and the drug they made him took) goes deeper in 52's mind each day and everything ends up in a visual and sonorous barnum as i love them.
That was a spoiler.
The whole story is narrated by the ex-NARMNEX technician (repentant) who proceeded the experiment on 52.
Tells us how deep this experiment on this 52 guy deeply changed his perceptions about art.
Considering the fact that 52 is basically a movie about music and creation, it stars real singers, lo-fi artist Troy Balthazar ( lead singer of Chokebore) and Chloediesel.
They both sing 3 tracks for the sweet sweet sweet soundtrack.
No official release scheduled for now.
The movie will probably be sold after Troy's gigs, melted with his state-of-the-art merchandising.
3 persons are involved in all that :
Troy Von Balthazar (tvb) : Acting / Singing
Chloediesel : OST / Fucking around with the Video / Artwork / Animations / Acting
Paul Durango : Concept / Directing / Editing / SFX
